Narrow

Haunted by the influence of a rediculously-large pallet of genres, Dean De Benedictis (aka Surface 10 Activity) finally brought his many ideas to a head when deciding to 'throw out all of the stylistic borders' for his project Narrow. Dean was a singer/songwriter during years when he was far-better known for composing in other genres, such as electronic music. He eventually started the project Narrow as a means to portray his songs using a variety of technologies, thus combining these opposite genres and taking some of the edge off of their purist stigma. Being Dean's first 'vocal music' release, the music of this dramatically varried CD, entitled The Wrong Impressions, still flirts with the same sense of distance and lamentation that so much of his instrumental work tends to reach for.
